Pago is probably the most powerful terminal-based screenwriting script available for any platform, and allows the use of vim as a fully-functional piece of screenwriting software such as Final Draft or Celtx.  While some elements of the script are unstable, it undergoes daily testing and revision, becoming more mature as I use it every day for my own screenwriting projects.

워싱턴주가 통일변호사시험(Uniform Bar Exam, UBE) 도입

이번 여름에 치러지는 변호사 시험부터 워싱턴주도 Uniform Bar Exam (UBE)로 시험을 치른다고 한다. 지난 2월에 치러진 시험이 마지막 워싱턴주 특유의 all-essay exam이었다. 나도 그 all-essay exam을 치른 세대에 들어간다.
내가 2004년에 치른 Cal Bar는 UBE는 아니지만 사실상 UBE이긴 하다. 그때는 UBE란 이름 자체가 없었으니. Cal Bar license로 뉴욕바나 다른 주의 Bar를 얻을 수는 없는데, UBE를 통과한 사람은 몇년 내에는 다른 주에서 라이센스를 취득할 수 있다고 한다. 여러모로 편해진듯.
한편으로는 federalism의 강화라고 생각할 수 있고...

미국 로스쿨들, 교수와 직원 수를 줄이고 있어

이런 조짐은 몇년 전부터 있긴 했다. 미국 경제가 계속 안 좋은데 로스쿨만 독야청청 할 수는 없는 법.

필요없이 로스쿨이 많이 허가되고 정원수가 과도하게 늘어난 것도 사실이니까.

봄이 오는 평원

근 한 달 가까이 화실을 못 나갔다가 오늘 나갔다. 오늘부터는 내가 그리고 싶은 것을 그리게 되었다. 화실 선생님은 내가 이전에 컴퓨터로 그려놓았던 것 중에서 유화로 그리고 싶은 것을 그려보라고 하셨다. 선택한 그림은 이것.

머리 속에서 구상한 그림은 훨씬 좋았는데, 역시 기술이 부족한 관계로 그리면 그릴수록 못마땅해져서 중간에 그만둔 그림이다. 이제 화실 선생님 도움을 받아 다시 유화로 탄생한다. 

원래 것보다 몇 가지 요소가 추가된 그림이 될 것이다.
